Isn’t it?!? Lots of people think their lives are boring because it’s what they know. But to those who have not had unique experiences, it’s fascinating.
My 102-year-old grandma thinks her life is mundane. But that's hardly true. They just need people to trigger those memories. That's what a nosey grandson (or neighbor) is for.
Thank you for sharing this, Deb. How inspiring. I love love love this. I used to interview retirees and write profiles, like oral histories, for the School of Public Health Center on Aging at the U of MN. This is wonderful!
Thanks for sharing Lois’s fantastic story with us Deb. It’s amazing all the different things she did. I love how her husband is looking at her with stars in his eyes!
Beautiful, Deb! What a story. I chortled when I came to the coffin picture and learned about her being a Six Feet Under expert. Thank you for sharing Lois with us. How fun!
What a beautiful story, Deb! I'm a sucker for anything that has to do with older people. When I saw her in the coffin, I laughed out loud as Six Feet Under is one of my all time favorite series. Have you seen it? Speaking of getting older, the final episode is something I will never forget. Thank you so much for creating this piece and sharing! And tell Lois hello for me!
Thanks Mary! I had never watched Six Feet Under, so we binged the whole series earlier this year. I loved it...especially the last episode where they tie all the loose ends up and tell us what happens to the characters.
When I saw the album Lois had put together with the story of her being an extra, I couldn't believe the synchronicity of having just watched the series and her being an extra.
You're welcome, and I'm hoping to interview and share lots of other people's stories.
Great post. Really interesting to hear of such a long and fruitful life. Thanks for sharing this, I just subscribed.
Thank you JFT, and thanks for stopping by and subscribing.
That's quite a life! That Hollywood phase is quite a tale to tell. 😀

I love this story, Deb. We need to showcasing more Super Agers
Absolutely, and I’m hoping to find more Super Agers out there to highlight.

You’re welcome Donna, and she’s still putting her talent and creativity to work. She showed me the phone holster she wears that she made herself!
Such a delightful story! Sounds like getting out of the house everyday is the secret :)
That definitely was my takeaway Jenna!
HOOOOW BEAUTIFUL! I cried.
Thank you for stopping by Katrin, and I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for sharing it! Looking forward to reading more!

You’re welcome Holly. Lois had a wonderful story to tell and I find it inspiring to be so active at her age…I should hope to feel so good!
A wonderful, fascinating read - I enjoyed every word of it. Thanks Deb
You’re welcome Mark, glad you enjoyed it.
Great article, Deb! Lois has had an interesting and amazing life. She has done so many different things! Wow!
Thanks Steph, she certainly has!!
Lois IS adorable, Deb! Are you one of her coffee/puzzle friends? She sounds like a hoot to spend time with!
No, she's a neighbor in my 55+ community. She certainly is a hoot!
Spunky character! And a great t-shirt she wears: SO adorable.
That's what she was wearing when I visited her to get her blessing on what I'd written...and it was perfect!
What an enjoyable post! Thanks so much for sharing.
You're welcome Sue, I enjoyed interviewing Lois.

I'm not familiar with the Six Feet Under, but I'll have to check it out.
It's a great series. Let me know what you think about it!
Thanks, I will try to remember to do just that when the dust settles around the house here.
