Exceptionally well written! This hits your Army and Marine experiences. I think I met you during your stint in the Airforce reserves. I've always been in awe of your service history.

Thank you, I appreciate that. You’re right, we met when I was an Air Force Reservist.

Well done! Both in writing and in your service experience. You made it come alive; thank you for sharing it with us. I visited Paris Island with my son when he was a Jr. in HS. What a truly impressive place. PS they were ready to sign him up right and there. I remember being in the gift store and seeing a highly decorated woman there. We had immediate respect for her and I thanked her for her service. She was very professional, of course. I look forward to learning more from you as you share your experiences.

Thank you V, Parris Island is an impressive place. I went back in 2012 and it was surreal to be back and view where it all began.

This made me smile, Deb, and feel very proud of you! I love that you wanted to kick ass and take names. It was your inner Marine coming out! The photos are great - I can't wait to read more!

Thank you Cherie…it definitely did! Sadly, I didn’t take many photos when I was in so not many more to show.

The Marines didn't let you stagnate in the steno pool!

When I enlisted, I was guaranteed Military Police. Instead I was assigned to MP Operations because an old WWII bird didn’t like women on the street (as an MP), and didn’t like them in “his” Marine Corps.

Not surprising to hear, actually.
